South Shields is a coastal town located at the mouth of the River Tyne and is the oldest and largest town in South Tyneside. It is one of the region’s most popular seaside resorts but is also famous for being Catherine Cookson Country.
Ocean road is ideally located in the heart of the stunning South Tyneside coastline. The beach, funfair, parks and town centre are all within a very short walk. We are spoilt with mile upon mile of golden sands and an abundance of historic sites dotted along the coast. It is also home to some fantastic restaurants and traditional pubs serving local produce, including fresh seafood which comes into North Shields daily.
