If you are interested in fishing during your stay at Ballyvolane House then please contact the Blackwater Salmon Fishery here. They have access to some fabulous water on the Blackwater, and will discuss all your requirements with you before reserving your rods.
The Blackwater Salmon Fishery (here) will be able to explain the fishery rules, river conditions, latest catches, as well as the tackle and flies you will need. Equipment and Guiding can be arranged should you require it. While some pools can be fished from the bank, as a general rule wading (depending on water conditions) is necessary, and chest waders are required.
