• This permit covers up to two named rods for each beat booked. The permit should be carried at all times.
• The estate retains two rods over both beats. This may well be used by someone, in particular when attempting a MacNab.
• Fishing is fly only. After 31st August, and only in exceptional circumstances of high water, spinning is permitted. • Please use barbless hooks where possible
• All fish must be handled with care and returned un-harmed to the water. Under the new Tay regulations, this is a catch & release fishery, except in exceptional circumstances.
• Fishing is from the right-hand bank only. We prefer you do not wade and never beyond midstream. Please be considerate to other fisherman on the opposite bank and move on where appropriate.
• No fishing after sunset or before sunrise
• Dogs are only allowed if under very strict control – there is livestock around. Do not let them in the water
• No fires and please remove all litter • All fisherman must make an accurate and complete return(include a nil return) – see next page
• Please only drive your cars to the pools when it is dry and if strictly necessary
Loch Beanie - Bank fishing only. Strictly no use of the boat unless accomapnied by an estate Ghillie.
On the hill lochs we do allow anglers to keep a trout or 2 for the pot at their discretion.
The Beats are Ghillied and you may be approached by members of the estate team or on occasion river bailiffs.
Breach of any of these rules may lead to instant removal.
