Glenda Powell is delighted to offer you this unique opportunity to join her hosted trip to the Upper River Jokla in north eastern Iceland. The River Jokla, one of Iceland's most scenic rivers, rises on the slopes of the Batnajokull glacier, running over 100kms to the coast at Egilsstadir, providing the angler a breathtaking backdrop to some of the world's best salmon fishing. The river boosts it's natural runs with a smolt releasing project, which has seen rod catches increasing. This project sees smolts being released not only into the main channel, but also into the major tributaries within the system, ensuring that all areas of the Jokla thrive. The 2024 season saw the River Jokla land an incedible 1,161 salmon in it's short three month season, thus making the system an ever more popular destination for salmon anglers. For more information please contact FishPal or Glenda via her website glendapowellfishing.

These 4 day trips will be hosted by both Noel, my partner, and myself together with a team of Jokla guides to ensure you have the best possible experience. The Upper Jokla will cater for 6 rods on a full board shared bathroom single room basis in a traditional Icelandic farmhouse. Each participant will have their own private room with shared bathrooms, the package also includes meals and one guide for every two anglers.
