Just under 2 miles of salmon / trout / grayling fishing in the Peebles area on the Upper Tweed. The beat is mainly fished from the bank or by wading, with gravel underfoot.
The beat is fished from the right bank looking down stream. There is parking for accessing the pools via the car park at Kailzie Trout Fishery, where there is a fishing hut which has essential tackle, and hot / cold drinks & snacks available. For hot and cold lunches there is a courtyard café within Kailzie Gardens. For accessing the pools on the upper section of the beat, there is a layby next to the river which can be used for parking.
There is a full time ghillie for the months of September, October into November only. One can be arranged any other time throughout the season if required. For information on the beat, staff at Kailzie Trout Fishery will be happy to assist.
Fishing will start at 9am where rods will be shown to bears 1 and 2, at 1pm rods will rotate. Kailzie is a 5 Rod beat with one “house rod” kept aside. 6 rods may be fished if conditions

spinning may only be used if the river is at 1ft or above on Peebles’s gage. Spinning is allowed from 15th February-14th September
