Dating back to 1590, The Plume of Feathers is a beautiful and historic inn located directly opposite the world famous Sherborne Abbey. Though newly renovated at the end of 2016, the bar and restaurant retain many features of the original inn, as well as an idyllic courtyard and four large newly refurbished B&B rooms. However, the main feature of staying with us at The Plume is, just downstairs, you can enjoy some of the best food and drink you'll find in Dorset. We serve 'Italian Small Plates' that is all freshly made in house, 60 Italian wines by the glass, an abundance of Italian themed cocktails as well as local ales and ciders.
The pub is perfectly located in the heart of Sherborne with Sherborne Abbey opposite the inn, Sherborne Schools, the independent shops of Cheap Street, the two castles, the countryside, the main line train station are all a short walk away. As well as it's location within Sherborne, it also provides a great base to venture further afield for day trips to the Jurassic Coast, Bath, Shaftesbury, Stourhead, Glastonbury, Longleat, Dorchester and so much more.
The pub is closed on Sundays and Mondays, however, the rooms remain open with check-ins, check-outs and breakfasts available 7 days a week.
