历史

The Lamplighter dining ~ rooms has been family-run by the Tasker family for nearly 30 years. 

Erected by Sue Tasker, it has now been passed down to James and Alistair, who themselves bring a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry.

Using locally sourced ingredients, the Lamplighter is one of Windermere's premier bar and restaurants, providing guests with the opportunity to experience a truly traditional and delicious meal within their walls.

If an evening drink is all that is required, the Lamplighter's bar offers a range of larger and ales, as well as an extensive list of wines and spirits. 

If dining out is the option then being at the heart of Windermere provides guests to visit any of the restaurants/bars/cafes that the town has to offer.

Staying in Windermere means Lake Windermere is on the doorstep, as well as being surrounded by the mountains and forests of the Lake District - all providing a wealth of outdoor opportunities.

Along with the restaurant and bar, guests are able to enjoy a comfortable lounge with a TV area and local papers and magazines. Board games are also available for days that force guests to stay indoors.

On certain occasions, there are live music/performances for guests to enjoy.

Free parking is possible on site (reservation is not needed).

Dogs are also allowed with a one-off charge of £10.00.

Extra beds for additional guests in the rooms at £35.00 per night (also includes breakfast).
