Gower Street Houses, Fitzrovia, London

I had a wonderful stay at Arthur Tattersall House. The location is excellent, very close to Soho and the city and well served by public transport. Check in was very efficient and the lady was very courteous and helpful. The room itself was clean and bed was comfortable. The kitchen could do with some extra cutlery. The communal toilets were fine, though I think some mats in the bathroom and towels to dry hands would be good. Overall, I had a very reasonably priced stay in a great location.

Good location and very clean facilities and nice cleaning staff. Kitchen and bathrooms very clean. However there was no clear explanation in the booking confirmation email of where the Reception to check in was located- it should specify 117 Gower street. Also I was asked for a passport as ID to check in- I am not traveling internationally so I didnt have one, and it is not mentioned anywhere in the confirmation email that an ID is required. Please remedy this.

The location is excellent - Fitzrovia is just a short walk from the British Museum and Covent Garden. Euston underground station is very close too. The room was basic, but clean and with a large comfortable bed. I also appreciated having a water basin in the room. The shared bathrooms could be cleaned more often, but overall, good value for money.

I found the room, the kitchen, toilets & showers to be clean and easily accessible. I was able to bring my bicycle thru to my room (thanks for that). It was quiet and had good Internet. It lacks creature comforts but the location and price make it excellent value. I would certainly stay again when students aren’t occupying the place.

Everything is great except there is no lift to the 2nd and 3rd floor, that would be a problem if you have heavy luggage.

No air conditioning in the high and hot room but fair for the price. Good for on a budget

Mattress was uncomfortable. Staff at check in and check out were efficient and friendly.
