Oversikt

Porzellaneum ligger i hjertet av Wien og er åpent som vandrerhjem fra juli til september. Bygningen ble reist i 1874, men ble renovert for å matche dagens levestandard, og rommene er fordelt på fire etasjer. Wiens historiske sentrum kan lett nås til fots, og for alle andre viktige severdigheter kan du bruke de gode offentlige transportforbindelsene. Bussholdeplassen for nattbussen ligger rett utenfor vandrerhjemmet, slik at du kan utforske Wiens spennende natteliv og berømte «Bermudadreieck» og fortsatt bruke offentlig transport på vei hjem. Vandrerhjemmet er åpent 7 dager i uken, døgnet rundt.

Overnattingsstedet tilbyr standard enkelt-/dobbelt- og firemannsrom med felles bad i hver etasje, med selvhusholdning. Maksimalt 10 personer deler ett bad, som er utstyrt med dusj/WC og servant. Sengetøy er inkludert. Vær oppmerksom på at badehåndklær ikke er inkludert.

Det er et minimumsopphold på 30 dager.


Mat og Drikke

Breakfast is not included, but can be booked directly at the hostel for an additional charge of €5.00/person. The “All you can eat” breakfast buffet is served daily from 7.00am to 10.00am in the breakfast area. Tickets need to be purchased latest the evening before, at reception.

On the ground floor you will find a drink vending machine.

There is also a shared kitchen on each floor, which can be used for self catering (crockery and utensils not provided).

You have free access to the green inner courtyard, where you can relax after an exhausting day.

Andre fasiliteter

Internet access in the rooms is available for an additional charge; the costs are €1.00/hour or €3.00/day. For long term stays there are weekly or monthly tickets available, please ask at reception for further details. Internet access at the Info Counter is free of charge.

Furthermore you can freely use the TV room, library, music room, bicycle parking spaces, party room, and laundry room with coin operated washing machines and tumble driers (€2.50/wash or dry), fitness room and the computer room with 8 work stations.

Reception is open 24 hours a day; if you require a wake-up call, please inform the receptionist on duty.

Luggage storage is available.

By car: Please be aware that Vienna has got severe parking restrictions. There is public parking available, parking is charged by the time period with a maximum stay of 2 hours/day. For alternative parking possibilities, please contact the accommodation for further advice. You will find the contact details on your booking confirmation.

By Public Transport:

From Vienna Central Railway Station: Take the tram "D" towards "Nussdorf/Beethovengang" and exit at station "Seegasse"; the hostel only 3 minutes by foot (0.1km). A taxi from the station is around €8.00.

From airport Vienna Schwechat: Take the CAT (City Airport Train) to the station „Wien Mitte“, change to the underground U4 towards “Heiligenstadt” and exit at “Rossauer Laende”. Walk out the main exit and turn left at “Gruenentorgasse”, keep straight until you reach “Porzellangasse”, turn left, the hostel is on your right. The walk from the station to the hostel is around 11 minutes (0.6km). A pre-booked airport taxi is around €35.00.
