The White Lion, Droxford

To avoid disappointment we would suggest booking a table inside. Outside the premises we have a large beer garden and picnic benches on the Church green which do not require booking.

The White Lion is a traditional 17th century pub with accommodation located in the heart of Soberton village which is quintessentially English, an Area of Outstanding Beauty, and within the South Downs National Park.
This is the perfect place to stay, unwind and relax after a day walking, cycling or enjoying the many delights of Hampshire.
Our accommodation consists of two double rooms with king size beds, and one suite, each offering “luxury in the country”. All are well appointed rooms, each offering a high standard of decoration with luxury fabrics and accessories. The rooms are all fully equipped with en-suite bathrooms, heating, flat screen television, hairdryer, ironing facilities and a refreshment tray.

We have a reputation for delicious locally sourced food, and popular local real ales from the Bowman Brewery in Wallops Wood and Flower pots brewery. We offer a daily menu in both our restaurant or bar area.
This atmospheric old pub still retains its open fires and wood burning stoves, wooden floors and a very warm welcome.
The White Lion at Soberton is an excellent base for a rural break with an abundance of walking on the doorstep. However with the nearby links to the M27 and M3 it is also the perfect base to visit Portsmouth, and its harbour which is home to some famous ships, and the waterfront area which is dominated by the Spinnaker Tower. Southampton which is a major port and the closest city to the New Forest, or Winchester England`s ancient capital, all are within a 30 minute drive.
