Blanda IV has long been a favorite among anglers due to its consistently excellent fishing, particularly for its high proportion of multi sea winter (MSW) salmon.
The schedule is as follows: fish a half day in the afternoon on day of arrival, followed by full days fishing, and then fish a half day on the morning on day of departure. This means you will get, for example, four full days fishing spread over five calendar days. The exact beat rotation will be established at the Lodge on your day of arrival.
Nestled in a secluded spot right along the salmon fishing beat, Blanda IV Lodge offers anglers a cozy and remote retreat. This charming farmhouse provides accommodation in six twin beds and a sofa bed for additional guests. The gin-clear river is just a short walk away, making it easy to access the pools directly from the lodge. A maximum of three rods can be fished however rod sharing is allowed.
Despite its remote location, the lodge is fully equipped with all the necessary amenities, including internet access. Recently renovated, the lodge features a well-appointed kitchen and a beautiful patio overlooking the river, complete with a BBQ grill for outdoor dining. All beds are made up, and towels are provided, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay.
Your booking includes your fishing and self-catering accommodation in Blanda 4 Lodge. Flights, transfers, equipment and food/drink are not included. Blanda 4 is around 160 miles from Reykjavík, although the nearest airport is Akureyri which is 75 miles away.
