Kylemore House Fishery

Kylemore house fishery is located on the west coast of Ireland and is famous for it serenity and fly fishing, It has hosted fishermen for many decades and welcome back familiar faces every year. Kylemore House is atttached to the fishery and is a significant part of the enchanting history of Connemara.It was built in 1795 and it has been the home to many famous people and been accommodatin guests for many years. It is located on 20 acre of woodland and you have full access to the Lake from the house.  The house has self catering apartments, ranging from 1 bed to 3 bed apartments. They are fully equipped and offer a relaxing setting looking on to the lake. 

Kylemore House Fishery offers day permits for flyfishing, boats are available and Ghillie on request. The lake is approx 2 miles long and easy to manage for newcomers.  There are 2 boats available for use (accomodating up to 3 anglers per boat), it is advisable for fishermen to take their own outboard engine. Ghillie can be organised but need a least one week to notice.  The lake has a wonderful setting with mountains surrounding it, relaxing and enjoyable even if the salmon not on the take!

Kylemore Lake stretches two miles long and is nestled between mountains and looks down the Inagh valley towards the 12 bens mountains. Beautiful peaceful setting for fishing salmon & seatrout.
