Join Glenda Poweel on her annual Hosted Trip on the River Blanda in north western Iceland. One of Iceland's longest river systems, the Blanda rises on the north western slopes of the stunning Hofsjökull glacier before flowing over 120kms north to meet the sea at the town of Blonduos. The river is well known for it's high percentage of returning multi sea winter fish and their unrivalled fighting power.Last season's hosted trip participants had a fantastic experience with some beautiful catches of Sear Trout, Brown Trout, Arctic Char and Atlantic Salmon upto 22lbs. It's this variety of species and sport which keeps anglers returning to this glorious river system.

These 3 day hosted trips will see you targeting Salmon, Sea-trout, Brown-trout and Arctic Char on Blanda River system. The package will include three days fishing on the private river Blanda, three nights full board at Long Valley Lodge, bus transfers to and from Reykjavik and one guide for every two anglers. My partner Noel and I will also be on hand to ensure you have the best experience possible.
