Oversikt

International Hall tilbyr overnatting i sommermånedene, og tilbyr rimelig og komfortabel innkvartering for besøkende i hjertet av London.

International Hall ligger i Bloomsbury-området i byen, i kort gangavstand fra British Library, British Museum og Senate House, og har en svært sentral beliggenhet med de fleste av de største attraksjonene, landemerkene og Themsen innen gangavstand eller en kort buss- eller T-banetur unna.

International Hall tilbyr standard enkelt- og dobbeltstudioinnkvartering for besøkende, inkludert frokost. Frokosten består av maksimalt 6 varer per person, med mulighet for et ekstra stykke frukt. Badene deles for enkeltrommene, og studioene har eget bad.

Det er også et fellesrom i hallen.

Historie

The first Wing (now known as the North Wing) was opened in 1963 by the Indian High Commissioner. The second part of the hall (now known as the West Wing) was opened in 1968 by the then Chancellor of the University of London, HM Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.
The hall underwent a major refurbishment in 2002/03 with the construction of a new Central Wing and the construction of a new entrance on Lansdowne Terrace and refurbishment of all facilities and rooms. The newly refurbished hall was reopened in December 2003 by the Chancellor of the University of London, HRH the Princess Royal, Princess Anne.

Breakfast is included in the room rate and consists of a variety of options, including the traditional full English, 7 days per week, International Hall offer a vegetarian option but can not cater for special dietary requirements. There is a limit of 6 items per person, with the option of an additional piece of fruit.

Breakfast times are: 08.00 -09.30

Drinks vending machines are available.

There is a small open-air shopping mall at the end of the street with fashion shops, a supermarket, several restaurants, coffee shops and a fabulous patisserie.

Bloomsbury is packed full of trendy bars, restaurants and cafes. Due to the area`s diversity and culture, you can experience tastes from all around the globe.

Brunswick Square public park is just opposite International Hall and Russell Square public park is just 1 minutes walk at the end of the street.

Rooms are as you would expect for student accommodation, basic but more than suitable for somewhere to sleep and shower, towels, shower gel, shampoo and slippers included, fridge but no kettle. Breakfast choice was varied, no limit to what or how much you can have. Good location. Unfortunately no bag drop area, a few years ago there was, so this is a backward step. Overall decent for the price.

An excellent way to stay overnight cheaply in the middle of Londen. The personal was very supporting, the rooms are clean, breakfast huge. Possibility for washing clothes, fridge available. The lavatories unfortunately on the corridor on distance. Some of them had not much power. Showers were working. Unfortunately it was not possible to sit in the garden. Conclusion: very happy customer !

Excellent location in the heart of Bloomsbury and a spacious room with double bed and ensuite. Lovely courtyard and the large full English breakfast, although rather institutional, was a great way to start each day . Access to wifi and laundry facilities was very helpful. My wife and I considered that overall our stay was very good value.

Room and shared bathroom facilities were as described, not in pristine condition but that's to be expected for the price. The pantry was pretty limiting for making much beyond microwave meals. I'd definitely stay again but not intend to cater for myself at all. Breakfast was great - better labelling of food would help with choice

Brilliant central location. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Slightly noisy because my room faced on to the street and it was hot so had to keep the windows open. The hot tap in my room was very hot and difficult to turn off.

Lovely friendly service from reception/security and also in dining hall. Everything very clean and there’s plenty of hot water for showers. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Felt very safe at all times. Fantastic location! Very good value for money ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

On arrival, you will need to check-in at the reception desk in the hall, which is manned 24hrs a day.

Directions: From Russell Square, turn right when coming out of the station, go straight ahead and cross the street. The hall is on the corner on the right-hand side and the entrance is on the other side of the building on Lansdowne Terrace.

By Car: If you are driving please be aware that the hall does not offer parking facilities and it might be difficult to find a space on the street. The nearest NCP car parks are on Woburn Place and on Bloomsbury Place.

Please note that central London operates a Congestion Charge zone between the hours of 7:00-18:00 Monday-Friday and 12:00-18:00 Sat-Sun and bank holidays. The Congestion Charge is an £18 daily charge (if paid on the day or in advance) or £21 (if paid by midnight of the third day after travel). By Train: Euston Station, King’s Cross, and St Pancras national rail / mainline stations are all within 5 minutes’ walk. St Pancras is also the main Eurostar terminal for international connections to Paris and Brussels. A taxi could cost between £5- £10 from these stations to the residence.

By Air: Trains from Gatwick Airport and Luton Airport run to King`s Cross Station from the airport and the Piccadilly line on the underground connects all Heathrow Airport terminals with King`s Cross Station as well, making in very simple to travel to the hall.

By Tube: The closest tube stations are Russell Square, Goodge Street, Euston Square, Euston Station and King`s Cross St Pancras.

By Bus: There are numerous buses available in the area as well, including night buses. The closest stops are on Russell Square (59, 68, 91, 7, 168, 188), Euston Road (73, 63, 205, 30) and Gower Street (29, 390, 10, 14, 24, 134).
